A vintage Chinese robe from the Qing period, late 19th century. It is made of silk and embroidered by hand. It is a masterpiece of skill and artistry. The garment is very delicate and should be displayed, not worn. It has some damage throughout: discolouration/dye run and stains, rip at the collar and collar lining, splitting on the edge of the cuffs and some stitching has come undone on the cuffs as well. It fastens with frog closures, one of which has come unattached.
